This ten day lemon cleansing diet requires no special products to buy, and no expensive equipment. It can be used for colon cleansing, liver cleansing, intestinal cleansing, or just an overall toxin removal. By cleaning the body of harmful toxins, you will effectively keep your digestive system healthy, and prevent diseases and cancer from developing. Clean intestines provide no place for bacteria, tumors, and infections to live. Followed correctly, this diet will give you back your vitality and you’ll feel better than you ever have.

The ten day lemon cleansing diet has worked for me and countless others. There’s nothing to lose, so give it a try. You’ll be surprised at how it affects your overall health and well being. Plus, it’s completely safe and natural. There are no side effects, no diarrhea, and no headaches. You’ll only be consuming food in its most pure and natural form. It can’t harm your body in any way. If you want faster results, you can always perform the one day lemon cleansing diet (see link in the additional resources section below). However, it’s recommended that you follow this regime with a healthy, low-fat diet to prevent future build up of toxins.

Day One

Day one of the lemon cleansing diet is often the hardest for most people. You’ll have to refrain from eating anything but the lemon cleansing diet drink. However, you can eat a small piece of fruit or bread if you can’t cope with the hunger. This day is all about liver and colon cleansing. By eating no solid foods, your body will have a chance to expel all the built up toxins in your colon and intestines.

  • Make the Lemon cleansing diet drink by combining two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, one tablespoon honey, and a pinch of white pepper in one cup of room temperature water. Mix well and drink upon waking in the morning.
  • Drink one cup of the lemon cleansing diet drink every one to two hours. If you become thirsty in between drinking the lemon mixture, have a glass of water, but nothing else.
  • Continue this regimen until one hour before bedtime. Then, drink one cup of an herbal laxative tea. This should clear out any left over toxins in your colon and intestines.
  • If you experience heartburn from the lemon juice, replace the drink with pure water until the pain subsides.

Day Two

Day two of the lemon cleansing diet may still be a little tough, with no solid foods yet. However, if you stick in there, it gets easier. Remember that you’re doing this for your health. If you are struggling with hunger pains, eat some plain toast or fresh fruit to settle your stomach, but only as much as you need to stop hunger. Don’t gorge yourself or you’ll undo the cleansing from the previous day.

  • Drink one cup of the lemon cleansing diet drink upon waking in the morning.
  • After this, drink a mixture of four ounces of orange juice combined with four ounces water. Drink one cup of the OJ/water drink four times throughout the day.
  • Drink plenty of water in between cups of the orange juice mixture. This will help in the cleansing process, and help to sate hunger pains.
  • Again, if heartburn is experienced, replace the orange juice with pure water until the pain is releived.

Day Three - Four

Days three and four of the lemon cleansing diet are easier, as real food is introduced back into the diet. Congratulations for making it this far! Now, hang in there because it only gets easier from here. Again, if hunger is getting the best of you, eat a small piece of toast or fruit, but only as much as you need.

Another benefit of the lemon cleansing diet is that it shrinks your stomach closer to its normal size. This can be a big help for the very overweight. By day three, you should not be able to eat as much as you once could.

  • Drink one cup of the lemon cleansing diet drink upon waking in the morning, each day.
  • Throughout day three, drink at least four glasses of orange juice diluted with water. On day four, have full strength orange juice several times per day.
  • For dinner on day three, prepare a vegetable broth made of fresh vegetables such as carrots, onions, celery and potatoes. A dash of salt and pepper may be added for taste. Make enough for two meals, and have the vegetable broth for lunch on day four.
  • For dinner on day four, have a bowl of hearty vegetable soup. Make it yourself at home, and avoid canned condensed soups. These contain large amounts of sodium and preservatives. Instead, use vegetables and herbs to create a healthy and tasty vegetable soup for yourself.

Day Five

Day five of the lemon cleansing diet introduces more solid foods. If you’ve followed the diet correctly so far, you’re body should be accustomed to lower caloric intake, but you will be in need of food energy after your fast.

  • Drink one cup of the lemon cleansing diet drink upon waking in the morning.
  • Drink water, lemonade, and orange juice throughout the day, as often as necessary to keep you hydrated.
  • Eat fresh, steamed, or boiled vegetables with fresh fruit and nuts for lunch.
  • For dinner, eat a large salad and fresh fruit. Use lemon juice, or oil and vinegar dressings for your salad only. Do not use dairy based dressings such as ranch or blue cheese. Add some nuts or a boiled egg for protein, but no meat.

Day Six - Ten

You’re now on the last leg of the ten day lemon cleansing diet. By now, your body should be humming with health and vitality. Days six through ten see even more foods added to the diet, but no junk food, coffee, tea, or highly processed foods should be consumed. If you’ve made it this far, you don’t want to undo everything you’ve already accomplished on the lemon cleansing diet.

  • Continue to drink one cup of the lemon cleansing diet drink each morning.
  • Eat fresh fruit, whole grain toast or bagels, and nuts for breakfast.
  • For lunch and dinner, try homemade vegetable soup, fresh or steamed veggies, nuts, boiled eggs, salads, fresh fruits, whole grains, and lean meats (chicken, turkey, fish).
  • Continue this eating pattern through day ten of the lemon cleansing diet.

Once you’ve completed the lemon cleansing diet, continue to follow a healthy, low-fat diet plan to keep yourself in optimal health. Introduce dairy products back into the diet slowly, and avoid junk food, fast food, processed foods, caffeine, and excess sugar.
